1. Age & Occupancy Requirements — Young Driver Acknowledgement

The renter acknowledges that they are between 21 and 24 years of age (inclusive) and understands that this rental is subject to the Young Driver terms outlined in this agreement. The renter must be an occupant of the unit during the entire reserved period. Sleeping Capacity: Class B, Sprinter – Maximum 3 people. The renter certifies that they hold a valid full driver's licence (not a learner's or probationary licence) and have held it for a minimum of 3 years.

2. Young Driver Surcharge

Due to the renter being under 25 years of age, a young driver surcharge applies. The renter acknowledges that a $2,000.00 security deposit is required instead of the standard $1,500 deposit. This elevated deposit reflects the increased risk associated with young drivers and covers potential damages, insurance excesses, cleaning, theft, late returns, or any violations of this agreement.

3. Picking Up Your Rental

Please allow at least 1 hour for check-in on the first day. This time includes a full orientation of the unit. Pick-up is by appointment only and based on availability. Times are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

4. Returning Your Rental

Return time is 2:00 p.m. on your scheduled return day. Late returns without prior approval will result in an additional night charge. Allow 30 minutes for check-out. A 10-day post-rental inspection will be completed. The security deposit will be refunded within 14 business days, less any applicable charges.

5. Payment Policy

A $2,000.00 damage deposit is required for all renters under 25 years of age. A 25% reservation deposit is due at booking if the reservation is more than 30 days in advance. Full payment is due 30 days prior to the rental date.

6. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 30 days of the rental date: No refund. Cancellations between 30–60 days before rental: 50% refund. Cancellations at least 60 days prior: Full refund minus booking fees.

7. Security Deposit

The $2,000.00 security deposit (cash or card hold) covers damages, cleaning, theft, late returns, insurance excess, or any violations of this agreement. Outdoor Thrills Van Co is authorized to use the card on file or deposit to cover any excess damages or charges. The renter understands that the deposit amount is elevated due to their age and accepts this condition.

8. Cleaning

All units are professionally cleaned and sanitized after each rental. Please return the unit in the same general condition it was received. Excessive cleaning will be charged at $150/hour. If the toilet is not emptied, a $50 fee will be applied.

9. Pets

Pets are allowed only if confirmed at the time of booking. A $150 deep-cleaning fee will be added. Any pet-related damages will be deducted from the damage deposit or charged to the credit card on file.

10. Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rental vehicle. Evidence of smoking will result in a $500 fee.

11. Mileage Policy

200 km per night is included with your rental. Additional kilometres will be charged at $0.45/km, assessed at return.

12. Renter's Liability

The renter accepts full responsibility for any damages caused by themselves or their guests. If damages exceed the $2,000.00 security deposit, the renter agrees to reimburse Outdoor Thrills Van Co in full.

13. Hold Harmless Agreement

Outdoor Thrills Van Co is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property due to: weather, natural disasters, temporary service outages, or recreational activities. Renter(s) agree to indemnify and hold Outdoor Thrills Van Co harmless from all claims related to the use of the rental or property.

14. Additional Terms & Conditions

This is a privately owned vehicle. Please treat it with care and respect. No off-road driving. Driving on unpaved roads will result in a $1,500 fee, plus $150/hour labor costs for any damage incurred. Violation of any part of this agreement may result in immediate termination of your rental without refund.
