Cancellation Policy
How refunds work if you cancel a camper van rental. These bands are shown before you pay, and they apply to every booking made with Outdoor Thrills Van Co. The count is always from your scheduled pick-up date.
90 or more days before pick-up
Full refund
You get the full rental amount back, less the 2.9% booking fee.
45 to 89 days before pick-up
50% refund
You get half of the rental amount back, less the 2.9% booking fee.
Fewer than 45 days before pick-up
No refund
Bookings cancelled inside 45 days of pick-up are non-refundable.
The 2.9% booking fee
The 2.9% booking fee covers card processing on your original payment, so it is retained on every refund, including a full-refund cancellation at 90 or more days. Everything above the booking fee is returned to you.
How to cancel
Email us at info@outdoorthrillsvanco.com with your booking number and pick-up date. We confirm every cancellation by email. Refunds are issued within 5 to 10 business days to the original payment method, and we let you know as soon as yours has been processed.
Moving your dates instead
Date changes and trip shortenings are usually a better option than cancelling. We accept them up to 30 days before pick-up, subject to van availability, and any difference is priced at the rates in effect for the new dates.
Security deposit and insurance
The security deposit hold is separate from rental payments and is released within 14 business days after the van is returned undamaged. Cancellation fees are not covered by our rental agreement, so we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every trip.
